Foil / Fleece / Banding

Foils, fleeces and bandings are manufactured from very different material according to the cable application. They perform multiple essential tasks within the cable:

• Coloured bandings indicate single wires, wire groups or stranding elements.
• Bandings serve as "slide layers" between cable components and thus prevent "inner cable breaking". It is essential for flexible cables that their components are protected from friction and sticking together.
• Bandings also serve as inflaming and water protection etc.

SENSOCAB uses the following material for banding purposes:

• PTFE  foils
• PP foils
• PE foils
• Fleeces
