Strain relief elements Strain relief elements are primarily necessary to catch the tension force and, in doing so, "protect" the single wires, stranding elements and the cable jacket from extreme mechanical stress. Sensocab can either integrate these strain relief elements as netting in the outer jacket, as "core" in the centre of the cable, or as supporting element between "core" and outer jacket.
